Serving Messiah Lutheran Church since February 1, 2015. Pastor Roggelin, born and raised in Lübeck, northern Germany, arrived in the United States in 2000. Pastor Roggelin received his theological education at the universities of Kiel and Tübingen in Germany, as well as at Keble College, University of Oxford/UK. After graduating from Kiel University with the equivalent of a Masters in Divinity in 1989, Pastor Roggelin pursued doctoral studies followed by his seminary training where he served his internship in the city of Hamburg from 1991 to 1993.
A 1976 graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton New Jersey. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Church Music degree, with the organ as her principal instrument. Helen completed graduate coarse work at West Chester University in West Chester Pa and attended a Church Music Seminar at the Royal School of Church Music in Croydon, England in 1996.
Joined Messiah’s staff in June of 2023 and has been a member of the church for over 8 years. She has dedicated her professional career to helping at-risk youth, having been a Program Director at Girls, Inc., an educational enrichment program for girls, and a Mobile Therapist/TSS for children with behavioral and MH issues.
Mylah recently retired from the Child Welfare field but still loves interacting with children and helping communities in need. She is a co-owner of Great Celebrations Ceremony Specialists and loves exploring photography as a hobby. Mylah is a proud PSU graduate (Go Lions!) with a BSc. in Psychology, and has an MSW from Temple University.
